Internet - Manifesto
1. The Internet is a chance to establish true and direct democracy
2. The Internet enables to share knowledge and thus allows to depower an elite minority
3. The Internet represents our society, thus functioning as an indicator of sociological problems that need to be solved outside the Internet
4. There is no such thing as an absolute truth, not even in the Internet
5. Even if you'd think you could - you will always fail to fully be in control of the Internet and its users
...and now I wonder if people felt the need to write a Manifesto about and after the invention of the telephone?

Indeed... I really like your short version more than the on the "manifesto".
I wonder if one unified Manifesto would still make sense in times where uniformity decreases in favour of the individual diversity.
But I am uncertain if a universe of individual Manifestos could make any significant difference...
