PostDoc Dilemma

When I finished my PhD thesis, I had to decide whether to publish it in a book or online. I had already regret the fact that I wrote it in German and not in English. I would have reached far more people and - more important - it would have been very useful as an international reference. Anyway, I pressed a few buttons and placed the PDF online. Five Minutes later it was available to the rest of the world. For free.

Of course I lost the link over the past years. So today I searched it on the internet and immediately found it. Followed by many many other publications that cited my actual thesis.

At first I felt honoured, then I felt a little bit worried. But in the end I had a good laugh.

Hey, I was young and I needed the money title.
